Proposition 65 Possible listing of C.I. Disperse Yellow 3 and 2,6-dimethyl-N-nitrosomorpholine

The Carcinogen Identification Committee (CIC) is considering listing C.I. Disperse Yellow 3 and 2,6-dimethyl-N-nitrosomorpholine, as chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer as required by Proposition 65. The CIC advises and assists California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) in determining whether a chemical has been clearly shown to be a cancer causing agent.
The CIC is holding a meeting Thursday November 29, 2012, in the Coastal Hearing Room at the Cal/EPA Headquarters building, 1001 l Street, Sacramento CA at 10:00 a.m. to discuss possible listing of C.I Disperse Yellow 3 and 2,6-dimethyl-N-nitrosomorpholine. The agenda for this meeting will be announced in a future public notice prior to the meeting.
Copies of hazard identification documents provided to OEHHA during the data call in period can be viewed at OEHHA’s web site. A 60-day public comment period on C.I. Disperse Yellow 3 and 2,6-dimethyl-N-nitrosomorpholine is also now open. Please submit comments and relating documents to P65Public.Comments@oehha.ca.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
