California Notice 2011-6: DPR Begins Sending Electronic Copies of New Pesticide Product Certificates
(August 2011)

In an ongoing process to improve the pesticide registration process, California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) will e-mail an electronic copy of new pesticide product certificates of registration to registrants. DPR will use the e-mail address specified on the Application for Pesticide Registration form for each product.

Due to legal requirements, DPR still mails hard copies of all new pesticide product certificates of registration directly to the registrant’s business address. In the case of registrants located abroad without a United States address, DPR mails new product certificates of registration to the U.S. address of the agent/consultant of record for the company. Upon request, DPR will send an additional copy of the new product license to the designated agent for the company, or to the company’s foreign address.

Under DPR’s new process, once a hard copy of the certificate of registration has been sent, DPR will e-mail an electronic copy of the license to the registrant. It will be sent as a PDF formatted attachment to the e-mail address provided on the Application for Pesticide Registration form, regardless of whether it’s the e-mail address of the registrant or the designated agent.
