TSG Hires Regulatory Consultant Shannon Bryant-Spas (September 2015)

Technology Sciences Group Inc. (TSG) is pleased to announce the addition of Shannon Bryant-Spas as a Regulatory Consultant to their Sacramento, CA office. Shannon coordinates product compliance for U.S. regulatory issues involving fertilizers, plant and soil amendments, and volatile organic compounds. For fertilizers and amending materials, she develops state-specific labels that satisfy requirements in multiple state jurisdictions, assists with formulation considerations, including those compliant with organic standards, and facilitates registration and ongoing product compliance. For volatile organic compounds (VOCs), she coordinates survey responses for the California Air Resources Board, provides guidance on state-specific VOC product labeling and reporting requirements, and ensures ongoing compliance.

Ms. Bryant-Spas has over 20 years of experience as a project manager and bioanalytical scientist in the specialty chemical contract research organization (CRO) industry. Her broad range of skills include the management of multi-phased projects, data review, evaluation and reporting, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance for FDA- and EPA- regulated studies, and regulatory audits. She has extensive experience working with a variety of industrial and specialty chemical clients, which range from large multinationals to startups, and managing projects with an emphasis on communication and proactive problem resolution.

Prior to joining Technology Sciences Group, Inc. (TSG), Ms. Bryant-Spas worked as a Project Manager for Intertek Pharmaceutical Services (formerly Alta Analytical Laboratory). In that capacity, Ms. Bryant-Spas was the primary liaison between the laboratory and clients on projects involving a diverse range of chemically based products, including pesticides and herbicides, intended for submission to federal regulatory agencies. She was responsible for scheduling all project phases and for managing laboratory staff and resources to ensure project completion within established timelines. She ensured studies were conducted in compliance with current regulatory requirements, including GLP, as well as preparing and evaluating data and final analytical reports. She also was responsible for coordination of sample receipt and resolution of sample chain of custody issues. Additionally, Ms. Bryant-Spas participated in numerous client site visits, client audits and regulatory agency audits.

Ms. Shannon Bryant-Spas
earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and English (summa cum laude), University of Kansas. Ds. Bryant-Spas joined TSG in September 2015 and works out of its Sacramento, CA office.
