Prop 65: Proposed Update to Warning Regulations
California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is evaluating a possible regulatory action to amend the existing regulation governing Proposition 65 warnings. OEHHA’s intent is to improve the quality of Proposition 65 warnings and provide better flexibility and certainty for businesses. The potential draft regulations are in discussion, and OEHHA is reviewing public comments before making a decision on formal regulatory proceedings.

|July 30, 2013 – Initial workshop to discuss potential amendments to existing Proposition 65 warning regulations.|
|March 7, 2014 - OEHHA released a pre-regulatory draft proposal|
|On April 14, 2014, OEHHA held a public workshop to discuss the pre-regulatory draft proposal amending the existing Proposition 65 warning regulations.|
|June 13, 2014 – Public comment period closed.|
|Currently - OEHHA is reviewing comments and is currently in review.|
After reviewing comments, OEHHA will determine if it will proceed to propose a formal regulation.
