TSGE Forum: The Impact of Agriculture on Pollinating Insects: Science and Regulation

The decline of pollinating insect populations, particularly bees, has been widely publicized in the media and has recently been subject to significant attention in the scientific and regulatory community and by governments.

We invite you to this timely event which brings together interested parties, organizations and observers to hear from leading academic and industry researchers, regulators and the media. Experts in the fields of entomology, agriculture and pesticides will present and debate on the various factors proposed to contribute to pollinating insect decline.

The event will include:
    Presentations from key scientists, regulators and experts on bee keeping and bee health
    A chaired, topical debate with a panel of guests from the media, research and the plant protection industry answering questions from the audience
    Networking opportunities

The conference will be held at Oxford University, in recognition that standards of science and informed opinion should be of the highest quality in the interests of those attending and paying due importance to the role and protection of pollinating insects.

An evening drinks reception will be held on 29 April 2013 in the world’s oldest University museum, The Ashmolean. Registrants will have the opportunity to see many of the outstanding art and historical artifacts from all of the great world civilizations.
