Federal pesticide registration is a process in which EPA reviews the
ingredients of a pesticide, the location on which it is to be used; the
volume, frequency and timing of its use, storage and disposal practices, and
studies regarding the safety to humans and the environment.
EPA separates
pesticides into three distinct categories: antimicrobials, biopesticides and
conventional chemical pesticides. Although all three types of pesticides
share the same application materials – administrative forms, a product label
and scientific data – each category has unique data requirements and review
policies.
TSG’s regulatory specialists are experienced in preparing applications for
antimicrobial, biopesticide and conventional chemical pesticides, and track
the progress through to registration, responding to questions that arise
during EPA’s review. Our regulatory and scientific experts also prepare
data
waivers,
human health and
environmental risk assessments, tolerance
petitions, label amendments and new inert ingredient petitions to ensure
that all the necessary registration requirements are met. In addition, we
assemble manufacturing process descriptions from data provided by
applicants.
TSG’s regulatory specialists routinely submit applications to register
pesticide products for new active ingredients, inert ingredients, major new
use, new formulation and substantially similar “me-too” products.
Our
consultants are highly skilled in all aspects of the federal registration
process, and strong working relationships with government officials help
provide quick, effective and reliable service.
